About The Artist

I have tried to separate my alcoholism, calligraphy, and salvation, but I can't. They are too tightly woven. In 1983, my first year of sobriety in 27 years I took a formal course in calligraphy, and it was instant love. As I progressed in my many different scripts, ancient, medieval, and modern I found my creative desire turning more and more to Bible scriptures. Through the study of different translations, the scripture would come alive, and it would become a part of me. The Word of God and the love of Jesus had found a home in my heart.

I was born again January 15, 1989, my past was forgiven and my future assured; I was brand new at the age of 51. By the Grace of God, I will continue to spread His Healing Word by any road he chooses, and my calligraphy, which is a form of Illuminated Manuscript Printing, has been one way of spreading His Word.

I pray that you will find the Faith and Strength in His Word that I have.
